Lola Is Accident Prone

She really is just like me. I have had to "rescue" her on several occasion where she has either gotten her woobie (receiving blanket) wrapped around her whole head, yes, her whole head, the pacifier stuck to her eye or her foot stuck on her bouncy seat. It's ridiculous!! My poor baby. 4 o'clock this morning I heard he whining in her crib so of course I'm thinking it's feeding time and go down to get her only to find her with her arms straight out, the woobie wrapped around her head, again!, and she's gasping and whining. As soon as I unwrapped the woobie from her head she smiled up at me and those little legs started just kicking in excitement. So yes, she was just fine! Silly girl. I'm the same way. Murphy's Law. I feel bad for her.

Speaking of the Princess......she is still sleeping!! O_O I love that baby!!!!

About Lolita

I thought I'd take the time to write about Lola. Her likes and dislikes.....that kind of stuff. Here ya go.....

Lola is a very sweet, happy baby. All I have to do is look at her and she smiles....every time! She doesn't mind dirty diapers, she is very patient, except for when she's hungry, and all she really wants is to be around us. Lola loves to watch everything that is going on around her. If Lex is dancing or just being silly, Lola just watches and smiles. She doesn't like to be in one position or area for more than 20-30 minutes, so we have to mix things up for her. I can move her from her bouncy to the floor mat and she is just as happy as can be. :) When I bend over to pick her up she gets so excited and those chubby legs just kick and kick and the smile is from ear to ear. There's nothing better than Mommy coming to pick her up.♥ Lola looks exactly like Kevin's Mother. Exactly! The same blue eyes, chubby cheeks, auburn hair and dainty feet. She also has her calm demeanor. Lola hardly ever cries. When I'm nursing her and can't get up I have to yell for Kevin or Raven to come do something or get me something, I almost always scare her. She hates it when I yell like that!! So I try to be as quiet as possible when I'm holding her. Sleep. The child loves to sleep!!! THANK GOD!! She sleeps from 8-4 or 5 sometimes later. It's such a blessing!!!!! During the day she just naps when ever and where ever. Her favorite game is the scare game. I'll act like I'm not looking at her then I'll suddenly look at her and say...."BOO!", she jumps every time then she gets so excited and just giggles. It's loads of fun. Lola is a scooter. Tummy time is when she tries the hardest. She just scoots her chubby self as far as she can till exhaustion takes over. LOL!!!! Lying on her back is much easier, so I have to keep 4 eyes on her at all times when I'm changing her on the changing table or when she's on the floor. Traveling with Lola is so easy. I don't mind taking her anywhere!! She loves to be outside or just out and about with the family. Our baby daughter is amazing. I could literally go on and on all day about how great she is, but it's feeding time. I'll write more another day. :)

So Cute....But So Scary

Watching Lex with Lola always makes me smile, but I'm very nervous at the same time. I'm always waiting for him to pounce or something. LOL! I know he doesn't mean to hurt her, which is a relief, but still. Like this morning......just now I had her on her mat and Lex wanted to play with her. He walks over and is standing over her talking to her, dancing for her and just playing nicely. :) But in the back of my mind I'm thinking....."OH GOOD LORD!! He's gonna fall on top of her!". Hey, you never know! Right? Right! better safe than sorry. I have learned my lesson.

I gotta go clean up the kitchen. Making waffles is messy, but worth it. I love the look on his face when he sees what I've made for him. It's the simple things in life that make me smile. :)

It is officially Fall!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!! It sure does feel like it, too! I love it!! I decided to use a new layout to celebrate it.....it's so damn cute!!!!!

So Adorable!!

Lola is getting cuter and cuter everyday! All she does is smile and smile and smile some more. The only time she fusses is when she's hungry or needs a diaper change. Well....except for the past few days. I'm pretty sure she's about to start teething. o_O I give her teething tablets and she's fine, no big deal. I'm hoping she stays so happy when they really start coming in. :( Not looking forward to that. Hopefully she'll be like Raven and cut them all at once. Poor Lex, he was teething for months!!!! Fevers, up all night, crying.....it was awful. There was even a day where all he did was lay there and moan, his face all swollen and flushed with a fever. Poor baby. I do not want Lola to go through that. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

I'll leave you with a picture......

It Happened!

I have been closely observing Lex to see the exact moment when he goes from toddler words and phrases to big boy words and phrases. It happened yesterday. I asked him where his sippy was and he said..."It fell on the floor. It's behind my bed." O_O Excuse me? He just smiled, I giggled and went off to retrieve his long lost sippy that was, in fact, behind his bed. And again today....more real conversations with my son which totally blew my mind. I told Kevin about it and he's a little bummed that he hasn't seen this magical transformation. I told him that it's because he still treats Lex like a baby and not like the little boy he's become. Lex likes to help out, he likes to be involved, he likes to do "big boy things". For example.....he had his very first dentist appointment. I wasn't able to go, I stayed home and slept with Lola. Kevin told me that when they called his name that he followed the girl to the room, hopped in the chair and let them do whatever they wanted!! Again.....O_O!!! He did great! All the girls in the office loved him, his dentist said he was probably the very first 2 year old that came in and didn't cry. Wonderful! It's nice to see that we're doing something right. Now....if only I can get him to see that Lola is NOT a doll, she's real and can get hurt. I think he's going to do just fine with her in a few months. :)

I Needed That

A few nights out with my husband and no children. That was nice, really, really nice. :D My Mom was here and took care of the kids all weekend, we slept in, got to see a few movies, went out to dinner, talked and talked and talked and then I finally got to see my friend Debbie. Bout time, too. It's only been 6 months since I last saw her. I hate that......not seeing my friends at least once a month, but when you're as busy as we are there is no way to avoid it. We're going to make an effort though. She's coming over next week to hang with Lola. SHe hasn't even seen her yet!!! Anyway. It was a very nice weekend. :D

Must Be My Lucky Day

I escaped being pooped on. Lola had a very, very messy diaper and it got on everything.....except me. LOL!!! YAY ME!

CUTE!

I really love these layouts. They're so adorable!!!! :) Anyway. I talked to Lo's doctor about getting a second opinion about the thing on her face. When I took her in last week they gave me some antibiotics to put on it and told me to keep it covered. Well, it got worse. It started oozing and bleeding.....it was just gross. So I stopped doing it and it got a little better. -_- I called her doctor to ask about a second opinion and we're going to do that over the phone together when she gets to her office. ((sigh)) We'll have to go to Boston but that's fine with me, as long as I can know that it will go away on it's own and the the hole that keeps bleeding can be fixed. The funny thing is, her doctor's daughter was born with one as well and now it's gone. She said it was gone before her 1st birthday. Hopefully Lo's will do the same. :)

O_O

How can a baby who is barely 3 months old, have nightmares?! My poor baby has woken up 2 days in a row screaming and looking like she has no idea where she is. It's sad to watch. I have to hold her close, talk to her, and kinda pat her bum vigorously. If that doesn't work I have had to lay her on her back and look at her face, rub her head and talk to her till she calms down. Why? Why do my kids have sleep issues? Well, not really sleep issues, but night terrors. It's not fair to them. I just want them to have beautiful dreams, not terrifying dreams.

3 Months Old Today!

WOW! I can't believe it's been 3 months already! Where has the time gone? :) You know what they say.....time flies when you're having fun!

Busy Day!

Lola had an appointment at 8:45 this morning with the dermatologist. That thing on her face started bleeding so I took her in to have it looked at. They want me to keep a topical antibiotic ointment on it and then keep it covered. -_- My poor baby. I can't wait till they can take care of it. It just bleeds all the time now. They reassured me that it was normal and nothing to worry about, but I'm a Mom, that's what I do, I worry. :) So at 6 months we're going to start her on a topical steroid to see if that helps bring it down, if not, then we'll start laser treatment. Ugh. I just want her to NOT have to go to the doctor's once a month, I want it to go away on it's own, which it might still do, we'll have to wait and see. I keep reminding myself that it could be worse. She won't have a scar from it and it should be gone by time she's 2. Other kids aren't that lucky. I honestly wouldn't care about her having a birthmark on her face, but that isn't what it is, so it's frustrating just waiting for it to clear up on it's own. I must learn to have patience. :)

She's still the prettiest baby. See......

Poor Lex :(

He had his first experience with puking this morning and of course he hated it. :( He came into my room at 4:45, climbed into bed with me and was very fidgety. He got down, asked to watch his new Mickey Mouse dvd, so I put it in for him and went back to bed. I woke up 20 minutes later when I heard him yelling for help. :( My poor, poor little man. It broke my heart to see him that way. He's doing better now, but my carpet isn't doing so great. LOL!! Looks like this weekend will be carpet cleaning weekend. :)

I Love My Little Lola!

She is just about the best baby ever. And yes, that's including the 2 we already have. I have never seen a baby who was just happy to be around and involved. We went to King Richard's Faire yesterday and she was so good. She didn't cry once. NOT ONCE! She just looked around, smiled and enjoyed being near us. It was so wonderful. I remember not wanting to take Lex out to many places because he hated being out. Raven was the same way, she liked to be home. Not Lola....she LOVES to be out. She even skipped a feeding because she was so busy looking around or napping. Then, when we got home she ate and fell right to sleep. I put her in her crib at 8:30 and she slept till 6 this morning. O_O I. Love. Her! Seriously.....I sometimes have to control myself because I want to squeeze her. :) I can see her personality shining through now. The way she looks at Lex is just so adorable. She looks at him like he's just the best thing ever, and he is but that's besides the point. LOL! She'll let anyone hold her, talk to her, touch her and she just smiles at them. Someone told me yesterday that when they look at her, she pulls them in and they couldn't help but love her and they don't even know her! Amazing. :) She has a magnetic personality. Just like me!!!!!! HAHAHAA!!
